On pellet rifles using pistol or scout scope the distance from eye to scopes is everything. I don't know about 392's. I have several scout scopes and a couple of pistol scope mounted on the barrels with a barrel accessory mount and an offset scope mount. On my Beeman dual cal I have BSA 2-7x32 pistol scopes on the two barrels and it's about 18 inches from my eye to the scope. At full mag I have a clear sight picture. The reason I use them is so I don't have to re-zero when I change barrels. When I had scout scopes on this long gun I had to set mag at 5.5x for a clear sight picture.I have an A.I.M. 30mm 2-7x42 range finder mildot on my old BSF c60. Eye to scope 14". I have to set on 5x for a clear sight picture. No scope grooves or rail on this gun.On my Peak B4-2 underlever. I have a A.I.M. 2-7x32 scout scope. Eye to scope 11". Full mag clear sight picture. No scope grooves on this gun. Most pictures I've seen of 392's with scopes it doesn't look like the eye to scope distance is that much. A scout scope might work and is cheaper than a BSA pistol scope.
