Title: Pellet performance and selection pre/post regulator
Post by: Bradleydt on February 05, 2023, 08:28:24 PM
Finally got my secondhand Hatsan AT44.  I have a regulator on the way for it but have a question on pellet performance.

Will pellets perform significantly differently unregulated to when I fit the regulator and tune?

I have started to test a few pellet types now, should I hold off selecting a favourite/best performing pellet until the regulator is fitted?

Damon, if you know the speeds your gun shoots accurately, you just need to set the tune for that speed, the regulator just keeps the speeds much more consistent!

Hi Randall,
Haven’t got a chronograph yet unfortunately.  I am have the reg sent at 120 bar but it can be changed if needed when I receive it.

Just fill to 120 bar or a little above for short term testing.
