Decided to give myself a real challenge and design a globe front sight for my fusion 2. Turns out, the supressor has a docetail mount, but nobody ever ysed it as far as I can tell.
Here is my first prototype, made from PLA. Turned out pretty good. The body is a very snug fit in the dovetail. But I did make a few mistakes. The sight insert was a little large in the tabs, so its too snug, and the threaded knob wasn't designed right. I forgot to add an extension to press the insert into the housing to keep it all snug and centered. Oops. Fortunately its a quick fix.
Heres a sneak peak.

Interesting option, I scoped my HPA converted Fusion 2, bummer. ;) I bet 10m target shooters may like this, and the rifle :)

Thats why my fusion 2 has a quick disconnect scope rings.

That's gettin' er' done! I have the original Fusion, and it's a great shooter. But the pickle on the end of the barrel couldn't accommodate a front sight.

Got a prototype rear sight printed out last night a d assembled this morning. Needs a few improvements, but I'm happy overall.

Finally got my rear sight together in a way that actually works. Fully adjustable for wind and elevation. Hopefully I'll be able to test it out this weekend. Its way too cold, wet and windy right now.

That's really cool. Nice job!

Finally got to trst out my sights today after 1 more change.
Test was done at 10 yards with .177 CPHPs. I'm very satisfied with the results.

Wish me luck. Now that I've finalized all of the design components, I'm printing the entire sight sustem in black PETG from Overture. It's the only black filament I have at the moment. The rear sights take about 7 hours and the front globe sight should take about 2 hours.
These pieces will be solid PETG with no hollow spaces within. I tried running a test piece with 15% infill, but it cracked in a few places, so I'm going solid.
I wonder if I could sell a few sets of these on Ebay?

Welp, had some trouble with PETG yesterday. I use a glass bed a textured surface that usually holds really well, but not yesterday. 3 different tries all failed at the 5th or 6th layer.
I gave up and threw some painters tape on the bed and had complete success. I just hate dealing with removing the tape.

All set up. Printed in black Overture PETG. It looks so sexy!

Cool. Now we need someone to come up with options for sights on PCP rifle with shrouds.
