Doesn't anybody on here have a Umarex Octane Elite?
Quote from: chwillbill68 on March 31, 2018, 10:43:38 PMDoesn't anybody on here have a Umarex Octane Elite?I have been following your post Bill. I don't have one ..so I haven't chimed in. I would expect that with the Stop-Shox system you should be OK..But I don't know that to be a fact. The RWS 54 Air King might be one to look at too. Those are heavy and hard on scopes though and you would have compensate for that with a Very Tough Scope or a Bullseye ZR recoil reducing scope mount. The Umarex may be tough on scopes too. The Gamo Magnum has a Triple R mount from the factory. That might be one to look at too. What I Do have is a 22Cal Benjamin Trail NP XL 1100. Straight from the factory they are hard to shoot well but modified like mine is they are a lot better but still somewhat hold sensitive.I sincerely hope that an owner of a Umarex Octaine Elite responds to your post and can give you good suggestions and advice sir.My Best Wishes to You - Tom
Bill, I have an Octane elite. Now I have no other modern breakbarrels to compare it with but I would not say it is not hold sensitive. I definitely get much tighter groups on bags if I barely touch it. I may be expecting too much though.

Everyone that I have heard of ... have had problems with the Benjamin Trail NPXL 1500 (177cal.) The gun shoots average 177cal pellets too fast... for good pellet drag stabilization. One guy I talked to last year ordered the 25cal barrel and was amazed at how much better his gun shot.Best Wishes - Tom
