received my B30-1 yesterday

Hi all,
As per the post tile, the rifle came yesterday. It has a B21 stock in a walnut finish. It came with a custom muzzle brake too. I've run maybe 60 pellets through it so far (been a bit busy) but I can say that it hits hard, and shoots smooth. So the tuning it received served it well. The recoil is way less than what I expected (the tuning?). Let-off of the trigger feels smooth, and not heavy; the trigger was disassembled and the innards were polished. I got used to it very quickly. The weight of the let-off aids accuracy, imo. The rear sight is just fine, but I'm going to put a light weight Leapers Bug Buster 3x9x32 Mil dot on it. Meanwhile shooting with the open sights is shows how well this rifle performs. After making a few POI adjustments I began to see some reasonably small groups with the open sights (on my guerrilla underground range of 8 yards. A scope will produce even smaller groups. I'm sure of it. Maybe not as fine a rifle as the RWS-48 in appearance (I handled on back on the 14th of this month), but for what it is, I'm finding it very pleasant to both cock and shoot. The B21 stock has been clear-coated, probably from the factory. mikeiniowa of BestAirguns says he has a B30 stock if I want one. I'm good for right now.
I'm the fifth owner. It has the wear of multiple ownerships, but it takes it well, and looks good while doing it. Tom (tpw) is a prior owner. I haven't found his initials on the rifle yet.
BTW I have to give props to mikeiniiowa for the patience to answer the many email I sent him asking about the B30 and other rifles. I can't wait for Mike to review the new Xisico XS46U underlever rifle, once he gets some in.
Also major props to the seller, Dan_O from the yellow forum. He provided much information, then sent a well packaged rifle in great condition. Who could ask for better than that?
So that's my short take on the B30-1 I received. I'll post a picture as soon as I figure out how to do it here.

Thanks Brutz! OK so now I have a break-barrel with some nice power in .22 (The Chinese Beeman model 1073/RS2) at 735fps average, and now this fine little side-lever, which I'll get chronographed one day. Next a decent magnum power underlever in .22.

tpw, that's pretty good. I couldn't top that so I just wrote my name on the barrel crown. You beat me again!

I can't believe you had the time to shoot it, much less sixty shots! You've been on every forum from here to Hong Kong, LOL! If it shoots well, give me credit. If it's a dog, fagetaboudit. It's that gator-kissin dog's fault.

I'm running low on CPMagum domes! The rifle is easy enough to get into a groove with once one remembers where the safety is. Cycle time is good, an the rifle settles in nicely for the next shot. All I have to do is decide if I get better results with or without my glassed on. For instance shooting my old B4-2/.22 I can get 5-shot ragged single holes with it's open sights that can be covered by a nickel with all shots touching, on my little range. The rear sight on the B30 seems to be just at a critical focal point for me to slightly confuse me. So, again, glasses or not? I'll try a few more shots.
Hey RF, I'm a day-walking vampire!

OK, I get a better sight picture with my glasses off. So much for bench rest. Now to take the beast to Freestyle training. If I ever get to scope it, I will put a type on it such as a Leapers Bug-Buster because of the light weight, and the shorter eye relief of three inches.

Hey, Darryl, you are using shooting glasses, aren't you? Don't rely on your regular specs if not. Stoney Points are good to fit over frames.
