Scopes And Optics Gate / Re: Vortex 4-12x40 A/O« Last post by Ike the GSD on Today at 05:45:02 PM »For a little more, you can upgrade to a Japan-made Bushnell Tac 5-15x40 AO at GunMag Warehouse.I looked at Optics Planet website and it says " Discontinued by manufacturer" I went to Bushnell's website and they list them at $499.00 that's more than " a little more" LOL! Thanks though👍 4
PCP/CO2/HPA Air Gun Gates "The Darkside" / Re: Safepac question« Last post by Mzq284 on Today at 05:36:39 PM ». I always believed that the SafePac was just a convenient adapter that would need some external air supply to do any good.
I think you're probably right. I can see it working good for a 2240 converted to a carbine and run on bulk co2. With the gun tuned for shot count with an SSG, I could see having a lot of shots on one fill, but I'm going for HPA, not co2. 5

Your telekinetic power isn’t solid enough to deviate projectiles but twisting turrets is no problemo The reason for this post is because we had this fellow shooter, a very good one but a cheat, in the PI who would do the above during comps, although not by telekinesis for sure, when you were unaware 7

Back Room / Re: So if you didn't do anything airgun related what did you do today?« Last post by bReTt on Today at 04:49:38 PM »Thank you Dan. Much appreciated 🙏🏼So far not much. We have some colds going around the house so we are staying back from church today so we don’t pass anything on and who really wants to be sitting around listening to people cough, sniffle and blow their noses. We will be there in spirit and worshipping together in our living room through a screen. 📺 9

Welcome New Members / New to the game and very lost« Last post by steirman@live.com on Today at 04:26:28 PM »Hi, before I get into an introduction, here’s my disclaimer. I am very much an impetuous person. I get it into my head to do something and then I jump in all three feet. I’m retired military and have a bunch of gunpowder rifles, but the idea of air powered rifles is very cool. Especially when you get into the larger bore area.
So after not doing any investigation or research I went on a buying spree that borders on obscene. I did find some really good deals ( like a $100 brand new Benjamin Marauder in .22 on Walmart.com, their mistake makes for my gain). I first got a Gamo Arrow and a hand pump and an anemic paintball, pumped up the gun and thought I made a mistake because it made a meager twang noise when fired. But it shot well and had good power. I failed to mention that I skipped over the springers, except for a single Gamo in .22. I also bought a half dozen Sig Sauer MPX and MCX co2 rifles for fun just knocking cans down and training with due to the realism. Same for many pistols, cheap training platforms. So now I have a collection of what most would call entry level rifles. Here is a list of what I got in no particular order. Hatsan Jet 1 .22 Hastan Jet 2 .22 Umarex Notos .22 Umarex Origin .22 Benjamin Mrod .22 Benjamin Mrod .25 Bara 1100z .177 Gamo Fushion 2 in .177 Stoeger xm1 .177 And a bunch of co2 guns Now the problem. Where do I start with modifying them. I have been reading for weeks about ssg and hammer springs, barrel lengths and all manners of ports and different mods. I want to build a carbine and another a good backpack gun for rabbits when camping or doing cross country navigating trips. Mostly I just want to learn how to get the most out of what I have before getting into the really pricey stuff. I did get a couple compressors and a 3D printer for moderators and different parts I might dream up (not that I have any experience with the printer either), but I need non judgmental feedback and advice. Yes I already spent a decent amount of money without thinking about it and I can’t change that. But I look at it as though I have a good inventory to work with. I think I will be sending in one of the Mrods to Terminador for a new stock and maybe a folding stock and shorter barrel. I bought a gaggle of 3D printed moderators and love the results they give for sound reduction. I have been exchanging ideas about how to improve some of them(like using wax paper as swipes in between the baffles to inch out a couple more db’s in sound reduction. I bought a really nice metal :'( lead can barrel extension that just goes over the Gauntlets barrel and quiets it a good bit. That same lead can barrel extension fits my Mrod, but I haven’t shot through it yet. So if you read this far, let me have it. Just don’t ride me to hard, I might cry. All kidding aside, I need some help. Thank You!!!! |
