I celebrated Labor Day by machining some prototype grip frames for AirForce rifles. Still a few tweaks to be made but they sure make for a solid mount.

Production went well. Now I'm just trying to dial in the finish. It's been a good week.
Next is to get them mounted on the Talon and make instructions.

Hmmm... Any chance of a future version that is both solid, and extended to incorporate a section of M1913 rail on the bottom, all one-piece?

I would love to. It would require a larger work envelope than I currently have. That's why I went with the two piece design for now.

Those grip frames turned out super nice Jody !!! Rob I like the contrast of the aluminum against the black myself as well and I'm sure any critters would spot it as well.

11 oz. For both the grip frame and the picatinny rail.

Thanks everyone. I really like the look of the raw aluminum too.
The Talon/condor sets are done.

Hi Jody, nice work! I like that your grip/trigger frame mounts over the lower extrusion section. Can you tell me the trigger opening dimensions.
Can you buy the frame in the white? If I buy one it would get anodized.

Gene, the trigger slot is .485" which means you dont have to take the trigger shoe off. You leave the Airforce trigger and safety cover installed. The finger hole for access to the trigger is 1.2" tall and 2.2" long.
I will sell you one in the white. I'll send you a PM. I'm currently working on bringing anodizing in house. I've not been satisfied with other methods of finishing as they are not durable enough and I want to bring the cost down.
