Now that I finally got a set of left handed grips for my mod25 vortex (thanks to Jeff aka Privateer)
I think it’s time to scope this thing. I was considering a bug buster but it’s not recommended for a air gun and I can’t get any information on the eye relief. I am shooting mostly less than 35 yards for target and small pest control. I don’t want to break the bank either.

I have a hammers scope on my Ruger air magnum and have not had any problems with it but it is air gun rated. The scout is not recommended for any break barrel guns. Ok for pcp or co2. It may or may not hold up on my mod25. Plus it’s quite long. According to reviews on it it is advertised as a pistol scope but the box it comes in clearly states that it is a rifle scope. Who knows??

I have used Hammers scopes on several springer rifles and pistols and have not yet had one break on me. (max 12fpe). I also have put many rounds through a Hatsan .22 springer and .177 vortex using Barsca 2.5x20 scopes without problems. ;D

I am looking real hard at a optima 2-6x32 pistol scope. It looks like it will fit my needs very well.
Only 9.4 inches long, variable power, plenty of eye relief 9-20 inches, ag rated.
Anyone have any experiences with this scope?

Well I ended up ordering the optima 2-6x32 pistol scope and it arrived last week.
It came with 11 mm rings so it should bolt up with no problems! NOT! Had to remove rear sight which I expected. I got the scope installed and eye Relief set. Went out to my range to sight it in. Went to cock it and &@$)() the barrel wont clear the scope. I have the scope slid back as far as it will go and still won’t clear the barrel so I went on line and ordered a one pice offset 11 mm mount. Hope this works!

I put one of these on my Hatsan ATP1 and my Sortie. They are VERY bright, even work in the daylight, up to 20/30 yards. Put the green dot on the target, and squeeze the trigger. ;) I've sat on my back deck, and shot squirrels out of the trees, holding the pistol in my lap!
