Does the legacy have a better performance than the nitro venom. I was leaning more to the legacy with more fpe.
I have not personally handled either rifle but based on the specs and the pics I can see it's the same power plant as all the other non XL nitro piston offerings from crosman or Benjamin like the Venom and the Titan GP. Unless it's a detuned Canadian or Illinois model. You are looking at actual velocities in the 700+fps range with common .22 and the 900+ range with common .177 ammo. Its actually more or less the same frame (B-18/19 variants) as the spring powered guns like the Fury and the Quest with a gas strut instead of a steel spring. But none of the differences change the power or "performance" of the rifle. Look at the crosman exploded parts diagrams on the Crosman site and you can see the same part number for the gas struts on all the nitro piston rifles except the Trail NP XL.
