Clean Break Tigger to HAIR Tigger

I think I've mentioned in other gates that like as light of a tigger as I can safely get. I have a .22 and .177 steel eagle and a summit stealth. All three have crosmans pride and joy CBT and they not so good. I replaced the stock spring with a light wire spring half of the length and replaced the adjustment screw with a 3/4 inch hex head screw. Added a single washer to remove side to side movement in trigger, and lubed everything with white lithium grease. The final result is a tigger with no first stage and as light of a second stage as I can get. The sears still hold (did the hard bump test on my patio) but all it takes is the bending of my index finger to fire the rifles. I wouldn't call it a pull more like a hard touch.

Been there, done that...
My advise is rethink how light you have that particular trigger adjusted. I've done plenty of bump tests with those same triggers adjusted/modded the same way and had zero misfires. Then out of the blue...BAM! Misfire. It can be as simple as relocking the barrel after cocking or releasing the safety to fire. I would never cock one adjusted like that in a house. I would only cock the gun outside in a safe direction.

I can't think of any reason I would ever cock a break barrel in the house or pointed in an unsafe direction. The only gun that would ever get cocked in my home is a pistol if I was expecting to have to fire it. Those are precautions are in the 10 commandments of gun safety.
The adjustment screw allows me increase the pull weight if there is every a misfire. I keep all the parts I replace in case I should at some point decide to get rid of one of my rifles. Then I will revert it to factory standards.

All sounds good Guy if you are shooting the gun. Hope no one else picks it up for a shot if you aren't around to school them.

I got a Crosman 2240. First order of business was to get a roller trigger and a Supersear. The Supersear had what looked like machine marks where the trigger engages, and where the sear engages the hammer. I lightly stoned those surfaces, and then took the hammer to a hard felt buffing wheel with some green compound and polished it to a mirror shine. That gave a vast improvement, then today I got in an adjustable sear spring, and some shims. I put a shim on both sides of the sear, centering it in it's slot and removing sideways cant. I could then adjust the pull down to about 7 ounces, nor completely reliable at that weight so adjusted it up to 12 and it is fantastic. no drag or grittiness, probably due to smooth surfaces and the rolller trigger. So far the only thing I have seen better is my FWB 300s, which has a trigger pull of about 4 oz. but that's an entirely different type.
