Taiyo Juki Deluxe

(1/2) > >>

Jirushi:
Hi,
I recently acquired this Taiyo Juki Deluxe in .22" caliber.
It's a 12 shot repeater CO2 rifle, from Japan. In Tom Gaylord's article it says it was made in the seventies.
Taiyo Juki was part of the Miroku brand.
I wondered if anyone else on here has one? Or knows more about this special gun?
After a thorough cleaning, resealing, re-oiling and touching up with a bit of cold blueing and CCL stock oil, the gun shoots well.
Personally I think it isn't very pretty. But that's ok.
Power is fully adjustable. Between 7 and 11 ft/lbs with 15.4 gr Gamo Pro Target (those fit well in the inline mag).
Cheers, Louis

The shiny knob is the safety. It can be put on auto or manual.

Under the breech cover. Similar to the Crosman 400; probably that was the inspiration!

Resealed valve, with a too short return spring. I have fitted a longer one.

Wow is that a interesting rifle!

DWTrull:
Apparently Miroku made quite a few different models, since I have three different models and none of them match yours. And I know of a junior model as well
I wonder if they made a spring or pneumatic model as well since all my examples ar CO2 models

Definitely! It's very unique.

Makes me wonder what else is out there that I've never seen or heard of before.
