I have owned my Will Piatt tuned 909 for several years and am very pleased with the power and accuracy..
One thing I wish could be improved is the trigger shape. The stock trigger has a very pronounced radius that just dont feel comfortable to me. I would like it to be pointed more downward on the bottom portion. I managed to modify a Crosman pistol trigger shoe that would tighten up and stay put but it was not much of an improvement.
Any of you other Sam Yang owners have an idea of a fix or where an aftermarket shoe could be purchased?
Will, if you read this, Your input would be very helpful.
Thanks, ray

Sam Yang has modified the trigger parts a few times. The new models are a little bit 'softer'.
If you want more information, please sent me a PM.

Hey guys, I had Ruth (PA) drop ship Will my single tube 909S. Ordered it to use when we go calling predators at night. Legal here in Tx. I ordered 250/155gr EPPUG slugs from Mark Whyte and ordered 200 Hornady Round Ball .457 Will slugged my barrel .4565 so the .457 RB and .456-.457 Whyte cast slugs will work perfect. I had read so many good things about the 909 I hope mine turns out to be as accurate as everyone talks about. Is the trigger like the other Korean guns? I own Career Carbines .177-.20 and Ultra (9mm) Sumatra Carbines .22-.25 all my guns are tuned by Will Piatt (legendary) as Jim Chapman told me. I love the trigger on these guns. Is the 909S trigger placement or shape what you don't like about it? I hope I won't have a problem with mine. Will, now will install a picittiny rail on your 909S too. So, I'm super excited and can't wait to recieve my gun.
Best of Luck Fellas

The 909 is such a nice gun, good choice on the ammo too, IMO those 2 are the best rounds for them

Yes, the shape does not feel good to me. I would like less curve and the bottom end to point more down than up as it does now. Also it is more narrow than I prefer. I was hoping someone was offering a different shape drop in replacement. A Google search has turned up nothing so far.

I have not tried to fit a trigger shoe on the 909 series. If someone has an answer please post it. It is not just the trigger shape but hand placement ergonomics too that is not perfect. Unfortunately the latest model SY have changed to a bulky, ugly trigger that is huge -designed to hit the trigger frame as a trigger stop. Presumably so the sear assembly can be a "manufacturing unit" without the springs coming out. In addition to not being graceful at all, they are very heavy requiring more energy input to get moving and retaining more momentum something to be considered on a safety "bump" test. On many of my personal Evanix, Crosman, and other guns I have reshaped trigger blades. On the Crosman's I have forged them some making them wider with less curve. On some Evanix and Marauders I have ground and filed the blades into shapes to better suit my preferred feel with the very low trigger pull weights I was using. I have even replaced trigger blades with thin Allen head cap screws drilled and tapped into where the trigger blade was chopped off.

Not knowing what steel the trigger is made of had kept me from trying to straighten it some with a HAMMER or heating it some and bending it. I agree also with the hand placement that magnifies the problem.
