That is one good looking gun! I think I'd have to put some low mounts on it to bring that scope down a bit closer to the barrel myself though. Scopes way off the barrel have always bugged me
Looks great! Can't wait till my scope shows up Monday so i can mount it on my .22 long. Glad you talked me into going with the 6-12x50 Dan, As good a sale as PA had Monday I broke down and ordered an extra air cylinder for both the Galatian and the Gladius. I'd been watching for a deal on one for the Galation since January but they don't seem to be all that common (sales). Figured the 15% off and free ship might be the best I'd do so took the plunge. Figured since the Gladius seems to be a hot item the extra air cylinders for those might become a hot item for a while too. Once the weather breaks up here in the north it'll be nice to pack an extra cylinder to take up in the woods. I think with the Galation I can shoot about 2 mags before the air pressure drops enough to need pumping up so 2 cylinders will give me more than enough shots. I'm guessing the Gladius on power setting 6 will be about the same,.
Sometimes you have to keep the scope high, otherwise you might get a crick in your neck from prolonged shooting with it too low. I know this is a problem for me with my AF guns. Dan, your pics are killin me! I can't wait to get mine to see it in person. I have to say that I didn't think the Gladius was the best looking gun out there, but it's looks are growing on me.

The chat rep at PA told me I should order the UTG 1" high rings for the Hawke 4-12-50 for my Gladius so that's what I ordered, I'll be curious to see if that seems too high in practice. I kind of wondered because of the design of the rail being so high to begin with but when I was messing around with the Gladius scopeless, because of the bullpup design it's hard to judge (for me) what height rings were gong to work best so I didn't question it. It was 10 PM Monday night so I was pressed for time with the sale ending soon anyway. No biggie, they were only $12, I'll send em' back and exchange them if too high or maybe just hang on to them.

Yeah, I figured the alignment to the eye when shooting was the reason for the high rings after thought about it. The high rings will work just as good as low ones after you get your ranging down with the mil dots. I just took the high rings off my AT-44, and installed the medium ones a couple of months ago. I ordered the high ones when I got the gun to make sure I wouldn't have any clearance issues. I'm very happy with the lower rings on my gun now, but it isn't a pup either. Either way, that is a sweet looking gun!I just thought about this, but I wonder how that power adjuster is going to affect modding the valve and ports on these?? I know the AT-44s respond very well to that, and I assume the Gladius will too. I'm guessing you would have to open up the adjustment restrictor for the power adjuster too? I'm sure somebody will have one apart soon to answer these questions though

Mike ... you will be glad you ordered that 12 power scope ... you can be more accurate out at a longer distance and the 50mm will allow for more light ... just a way better shooting experience ... as far as the 1 inch scope rings go ... if it is measuring from the base top of the pic rail on the gun to the bottom of the scope tube ..1 in ... that is the same as the one's you see in the pics ...that I just put on ... actually I like the fit of those as far as eye site alignment goes maybe better than the 9/16 ones that I had on the first time ... you just have to compensate more when shooting at different distances than what you have sighted the gun in for ... I did have to lower all the way down the cheek pad piece to use the lower 9/16 rings, that I put on the first time ... so I think you might like the ones you bought ... you just need to shoot at different ranges to find out how many dots to hold over or under at the different distances from your original dead on cross hairs sight distance ... another thing I will add is that if the measure from top of pic rail on the gun to center of the 25.4 mm scope tube 1 inch distance ... they will be the same as my 9/16 are that used on that first scope ... it all depends on how they measure ...
