I think I imagined the POI shift, when I checked yesterday after hunting I was kneeling instead of sitting at the table, and I checked today and it didn't happen.
Yea I've had pass throughs and some loud ricochets.. Is it safe to say that when the slug hits the ground its lost a lot of its energy though? I understand a lob shot could send one that far. There are some homes maybe 200 yards downrange depending on where I'm aiming and I figured if my shots are all hitting dirt not too far behind the squirrels, it wouldn't be a concern. Am I underestimating ricochets? Of course, shooting standing up with sticks is a more favorable angle than shooting at squirrels laying prone.
