Hello Everybody, I have to post it AGAIN! El Mago, John in PA tuned my .177 HW97 WOW factor AGAIN!!! This is the 7th gun he has tuned for me I think, maybe 8 I will double check lol. I got her back yesterday, I came home from work late and couldn't shoot her. Well......today I snuck off for an hour and came home, installed the Hawke 4x12x50 AO she had had on her. Three shots and bingo BABY right on the money. Her shot cycle is so sweet and accuracy is the BEST, at 30yards one tiny little hole. I tried a couple of pellets but the CPL proved to be the best. I am really liking the CPL in the box seems that all of my HW's .177 really shoot these great. Weather permitting I will be shooting her a little farther out Sunday. My Grandson's have a football tournament and GrandPa has to be there no if and or butts. I plan on shooting out to 55yards my front yard range. The last gun I received from John was my R9 .20 she shot wonderful before but, after the tune she is perfect. I sent John a vid of my R9 .20 groups and shots, he too was very impressed with this little gun. I now have the best spring piston guns I could ever possibly have. Next to El Mago (The Magician) is my RWS48 .177 She is a great power house of a gun. Maybe John can tone her down just a little to shoot the lighter pellets. At the moment she is shooting the JSB 10.3 pellets really good, but I still have several flyers. I will get a great group going then bamm two flyers. Then she settles down again, so off the the Magician she goes. I have really enjoyed shooting these Springers and my powder burner shooting has really improved. Just wanted to post a little about my tuned HW97 .177 and the wonderful work Mr. John in PA has done for me. Take care Everyone and have a wonderful weekend.
No doubt about it. John is top-notch when it comes to fine-tuning an air gun. He is just completing the second one I sent him. But there is another charateristic of his work that impresses me, too. He communicates! I am not left in the dark about the progress of the work on my gun. He makes me feel a part of the process of getting the most out of any air gun I send him.
No, they mean John in Pennsylvania. Here is his contact info:John Thomas (jmtfor1@aol.com)(717) 873-512839 Big Mount RoadThomasville, PA 17364As for your questions, best you ask him yourself.
Since my guns are intended heirlooms for my sons and their children, I have even given John a nickname - the "godfather" of my air gun collection. Yes, he is that good at what he does.
Cost alot? should probably get my 125 sniper running right one of these days, shipping shouldn't be too bad either since he is only 3 hrs from me.
Haven't heard back from the email. Oh well, no rush.
Just got my .20 version HW 98 with Vortek kit and Rowan Engineering straight set back trigger from John yesterday. What a dream gun! Awesome and all those other adjectives that go on and on how happy I am.
