I don't have an answer for you, but I bought the grandsons Daisy Bucks and 1 is definitely more accurate than the other. As for my RR, it's not as accurate as i remember as the one I had as a kid.
so the difference between the accuracy may be because the 25 does in fact shoot a bit faster than a RR. the avg 25 does 310 to 315 fps and a healthy RR struggles to mantain 270 fps. All that means is that the 25 gets to the target faster having less time to drift. but as far as accuracy, that only applies on a similar bore between them. I have some RR that are absolutely ridiculous accurate compared to others (10 yard groups from 2 in down to 3/4). but i also have a 102-36 (its a buck size gun) that shoots that well too. Also it matters what ammo you use. Crosman needs a lesson on BB making from Daisy, in my eyes. never had outstanding accuracy with crosmans BBs. Daisy precision BBs do a lot better on both Daisy and crosman airguns. And then you can get avanti BBs... if you need to see the difference for yourself, get a 499 and make groups at 10 yards with all the different BBs mentioned. its a wild difference. Also never oil bbs or the shot tube. use a long cotton swab with cpl to clean the shot tube and make sure its centered on the top cap (sometimes they are not, and a little sanding of the muzzle is recommended). For further information, a 499 is even slower than a RR, at an average 224 fps. But they are designed to shoot at 5m, or 16 feet. At 10 yards they do open up. more important i think is to do a trigger mod on the new RR. the removal of the "first stage" spring makes it way lighter and very predictable, which helps a ton with accuracy
