Anyone shot their printer yet?
JuryRigger:
Tried to print out some more NUAH targets today-had no issues before; just set the scaling to 'print actual size"....
AAAARGH!
It took me two dozen pages to get the dang thing right this time-it kept CHANGING the scaling/format from print to print!!!
I'd try 106%, it would clip... I'd try 107%-BAM it shrunk the *dang* thing down to even smaller!!
WTFH? The only thing that changed is Adobe-ended up with an updated version-guess it thinks it knows best how to size things-ARGH!
But-I even tried printing it from the file, opened in my browser-still acting up!
Well-finally got a dozen or so good cards; despite wasting double that in ink and paper on that piece of............... Hmph; 'technology'....... >:(
They are still clipped on the right-hand side; and it also ate two of the information lines-but the 4 MOA ring measures right.... >:(

JuryRigger:
The bulk of the targets ended up with the 4 MOA ring between 3.5-3.75"-if I accept the handicap; are they still useable? I loath the thought of that much ink and paper wasted just to punch holes in :(....

Lt. Dan:
It's too bad we can't find a commercial print shop that would be willing to print a few thousand for GTA at a good price and then members could buy packs of 50. It would be cheaper in the long run because I wasted a lot of ink and cardstock and I never could after all those tries get the scaling right. Therefore I never sent in a submission.
Fussell:
I went to a print shop with a copy of my target that measured 4" on the 8 ring and got them to print out targets for me on 70 or 80 # card stock. Told them to double check for 4" before they printed what I needed.
But I would love to see video of you shooting your printer ;-)

I think one of the sponsors (Freedom Gun Targets) had NUAH targets for awhile; but they don't have them anymore ::) :P
I think Firewalker (David) ended up having to use some that were slightly undersized (like mine this go-round) for the Matches; it handicapped him; but since it only hurt him-it was accepted...
I've got maybe a dozen good targets now; and another two dozen that are undersized ::) :P
Oh well-glad I used scrap paper to begin with-still aggravating as heck...
And what's worse-if I still had one of my original good ones-I could have copied it!! :-[ :P
