With something I like. Materials from home
Depot, electrical boxes and dowel, magnet to hold paper target, duct seal. I’m excited to try them once it stops raining.
For now, they’re set for a bit of capsule fun.

I use a different approach. I have my targets fixed, and then I move to different distances to practice holdover..........

My setup is quite similar. I might even have to get the photos out if there is call for it. I lashed together several logs into a "|W|" formation, then stretched one across the top. Then laid down more logs creating a vertical wall to catch bullets. Then lashed more logs together to create a bar to hang targets down from. I had used lawnmower blades, chains, and numerous other different shaped targets to shoot at. I was using a .22 LR from 160 yds, and when the target was hit it would ping and bounce into the air, which provided a pleasurable sensory experience. When this became too easy, I began using business cards with a 1-inch circle or square drawn on them. Then I added shooting "bunkers" at 160, 140, 100, 50, and 25 yards. It was a lot of fun, then the tractor broke, and I couldn't keep the grass down to shoot. Still not sure what happened to the range though, but two weeks after my last shooting session, I discovered my log wall had collapsed. It was suspicious, because there were a few framing nails in it, and all the rope appeared to be cut cleanly and squarely.
Hoping to get back out there and rebuild it once the tractor pump is returned from the shop.
