So that space taken up with the factory reg becomes an increase in plenum volume when the HuMa is used is lieu of.
The factory RAW reg is by far and away the better quality. Stainless Steel and Brass, More bevel washers in stack. Adjustable for seat height as well bevel preload. ( both are used in correctly setting up. )HuMa is Aluminum and brass, less bevels used and only adjustable for seat height ( Which is the only way to change set point outside changing bevels spring rate or orientation )Simplicity goes to the HuMa ... Range adjustablity and ultimate durability IMO goes to the factory RAW regulator.Seeking MAXIMUM power potential ..... HuMa due to the slight increase in plenum volume within Standard or X chassis rifles
Hey Taso,All three of the RAW HM1000x regulators I've received in the last year have 3 o-rings. (1) large black - visible on the outside, (2) clear (small) on the stem and (3) at the brass seat. See pic. Also, while the Huma, after-market regulator gives you more plenum space, the OEM plenum IMO is large enough. Mubhaur on Airgun Nation - used both as he wanted more plenum space, but ultimately went back to the OEM regulator as it was more consistent. - If you really want to make any changes to the RAW regulator, change the seat from Delrin to Peek.
