Also the stock on the Origin, which I have checked out in person, is a nicer feel and less cheap at least IMO. Umarex sells the Origin at some branches of Big 5 Hunting Goods. Depends on the branch, but the ones around me have them in stock. Just FYI if you want to check it out in person that might be an option.
I would think you would get more shots with a 22 and with the regulator set lower. I would get a SCBA tank and fill set. Expired tanks were less than $100 when I bought mine. I did not have good luck with an inexpensive valve set but maybe your pony tank valve would fit?

I know you have a .25 but thought I would ask. Maybe you know of someone else may know.I would be using a .22 cal. I can only fill, with my pony bottle, to 2900psi. Anyone know how many good hunting shots I should get from a fill and what is your reg set to. thanks

I just wanted to let all you guys know that helped me so much ,trying to decide what rifle to purchase, I decided on the Wood Avenger in .22. I think, for me, the Avenger is the best fit. Again thank you for your help. Im sure it won't be long until I will need help setting it up and tuning. LOL Thanks
Now the real adventure begins...
Probably going to be set closer to 2600 - 2900
Why not just fill the gun with the YH before the hunt and call it good?Do you think you'll need more than 50 or 60 shots (depending on tune) for a single hunt?If so, you either have a very large freezer or you have very bad luck and might want to take up fishing....
Yep, for me, filling tanks is just an extra step and more stress on my compressors. The YH is portable enough to drag along with me if I want to shoot at a buddies or family member's place.I have other great guns in other platforms that I can use on a no power source situation... it ain't always a 'must have a pcp' deal for me.I think it's kinda like 'pick the right gun for the task at hand'.I don't hunt squirrel with a .50 cal. I don't hunt bear with a bb gun. Why would I take a pcp on a primitive week long hunting adventure? Give me my most accurate boinger gun and a pumper for backup. If I'm after large game, then the smell of gun powder does it for me.Sometimes the job dictates the tools. Attempting the job with the wrong tools equates to poor results.
