Are they worth buying in a spring or vortex gun? I was told they wouldn’t have enough power for .25
I also have the 95 in .22, and a couple strikers one in .25 and one in .20, Webley branded. IMO the 95 is the best all around use gun, have taken a possum with a bone crunching head shot with the .25 striker at 15 yards, would not try that past 20 yards with that. the .22 95 is the Goldie Locks in their lineup IMO, and I prefer spring versions for their longevity, and lower cost of repair.
What they said. All good adviceSomething more here about the Mod125. It is long, heavy, and poorly balanced. With a scope it will weigh over ten pounds. Cocking effort is stout but not excessive. The vortex gun cocks a little easier than the springer. A well tuned springer can cock as smoothly and quietly as the vortex ram. I have a SteveP tuned spring Striker that I thought was a vortex powered gun when he sent it to me. It is that smooth. The smaller Hatsans are much handier than the Mod 125. If you are going to be carrying the gun far you might consider a model 95 or even a Striker/Edge/Airtact cause I can tell you the Mod 125 turns into a real boat anchor on long walks.
I squirrel hunt is the main thing. I shoot 177 now
