Any simple ways to make the 880 more powerful, right now I’m letting the epoxy cure to make a flat top piston. Are there any other easy and cheap mods to give me more power without a whole bunch of tools, I’ve done the tape mod too for more accuracy, able to hit a quarter at 20 yards with a crosman pointed pellet, so it had the accuracy ,so I don’t want a springer, for the fact I can’t get the accuracy like I can with the 880. And pcp is expensive .last time I asked this they didn’t tell me anything useful to get more power, if you tell me to get a new gun you can send the money to my cash app $mayhemandmayflower because I can’t afford 300 -500$ For a new gun I just want easy mods,

The Winchester (Daisy) 1977xs is the 880 on steroids. Academy.com has them for $80. Actually, they list them as the older, weaker model 77, but they are the 1977xs. The internal parts differences allow a 200 fps velocity increase. The trade off is a stiffer trigger pull. Unfortunately, the performance parts of the 1977 (even if they were available to purchase) will not swap into an 880.
As mentioned there are mods to the 880 that will get you incremental power increases. Find them in the Daisy gate. Stonykill was the source for many of the mods back in the day. Read his sticky at the top of the gate. Best bang for your buck is the Winchester 1977xs.

I bought an 880 a couple months ago and it’s super fun but I quickly realized I should’ve gotten something Crosman as they have endless mods for most models.
The 880 is not very popular for aftermarket parts or mods. In fact I made a post here asking about suppressors for 880’s and there were none to be had for about a month till one of our guys here decided to fabricate some and start selling whichever design he got to work best. So a guy had to create a business essentially in order for there to be 880 suppressors. Sure you could probably rig up one of the buckrail ones but idk.
Then there’s the tape mod and the trigger “credit card mod” but I haven’t seen anything for power.

Filling the dimple in the piston seems to be a common thing to do when chasing power. If you're comfortable tearing the gun down there's a few other things that can help. It's been a few years since I've been in an 880 for tinkering so take this with a grain of salt...
30Wt ND (Non Detergent) oil, a couple drops on the oil sponge every 250 shots or so, or once a season change (summer, fall...) will keep the gun alive and give constant power.
An extended bolt probe may help. Will require removing the magnet from the bolt and replace with a longer pin. I haven't tried this but have read it more than once.
Ensure transfer port has smooth flow. If I remember correctly the "chamber", transfer port and valve are a single cast piece. Making sure no casting imperfections impede air flow through transfer port will help efficiency. Enlarging may cause valve sealing issues, so be cautious if cleaning up this area. I have suspicions that "weak" 880's have something going on here, limiting power output.
A longer barrel will make more power. The barrel O.D. is .30" if I remember correctly. A longer barrel will extend past outer barrel and front sight, but something could be made up to cover/protect it. Should mention swapping to .22 caliber would make even more power.
Increase valve volume can help, but there's not a lot of material to valve walls. I chose to grind down the "button" piece of the valve that the pump piston pushes on (at end of pump stroke). This piece is held in place with a pin and has an o-ring around it (if I remember correctly). There's a little extra material that can be ground down, but you have to keep enough material around the pin retaining hole(don't grind from flat faced side, but the side that enters valve). I'll add a photo of this piece below.
My old Daisy 880 will make around 9.5fpe with CPHP 7.9's and over 10fpe with Beeman Silver Points(11.5gr. ?) at 12 pumps, the only mod being the "valve button" being ground down a bit. After a few years my bolt would blow open when fired with 12-15 pumps using anything heavier than 7.9gr pellets. I found beyond 12 pumps MY gun didn't really make any more power, and after last teardown a few years back I resolved bolt issue. I thought about filling the piston dimple in, just never got to it. The 880 has enough power out of the box for most situations as long as it's "healthy" (~8FPE) but accuracy and range are big factors (think ~25yards or less for pesting/hunting). Domed pellets will give the best range at any power level.
Hopefully this is of some help, if any information is "off" please chime in. There's other things that may be done to up power, but this should be enough to get the ball rolling. There are a lot of threads on 880 mods, sorting through takes a bit.
Here's the valve "button" piece I was trying to explain. Not sure of official name.

The "button" in Zack's post is called the chamber seal abutment. The chamber seal is installed over the center hub and is an active part in the sealing function. If you remove material from the hub to increase chamber volume, be careful not to remove ANY material from the first 3/8" or so from the disc.
If you do, the seal probably will not do its job...
Also, be careful how much you reduce the diameter of the remaining length of the hub. The abutment has to retain over 1000 psi of chamber pressure.
I believe Daisy has made changes to that part for the Winnie 1977. The hub of the abutment is hollow, which increases volume.
I can make a bolt with an extended brass probe, but that will eliminate shooting BB's as there will be no magnet to hold the BB from rolling out the barrel.
I can also make a double O-ring piston to increase pump pressure, but I have no test information to determine pressure increases.
The problem is: you will be spending more for these 2 parts than you paid for the rifle to begin with....
My trigger mod will greatly reduce trigger pull, which should increase accuracy, but not power.
