I've only seen pictures of the Weihrauch brand scopes. I'd like to think their quality is up par with the Airmax but my gut says no. Weihrauch scopes come on their scoped gun packages. I'm sure someone here will have had some experience with them. My experience is package deal add on components aren't usually great. The term throw aways comes to mind. I read somewhere that the Weihrauch scopes are rebranded (identical) BSA scopes that usually sell for much less. I could be wrong but they do look like the BSA and have a cheap look to them. Certainly for the same money I'd go with the Airmax and have someone mount it.
I can only speak on the the Airmax scopes, the regular ones as you put it. I have three and only have praise for them. They all have the AMX reticle and I love those. I agree with Ron on scopes packaged with the rifle. I have always been disappointed with those and replaced them straight away.

You got new legs!I so wanna believe their scopes are not garbage; I mean it's Weihrauch we're talking about, I'll be d4mned if they sell dawgsh1t.At least I should be able to demand the company gets me the Airmax since they offer them on their website.
Never did lose the legs, it was the magic of special effects.I would hope that the Weihrauch scope is good too, but it's just a rebranded scope so I don't know. Hopefully someone will chime in that actually has a Weihrauch scope.

Also, how is the eye relief when you turn it to 9x zoom (if you own the 3-9x40 version)?

Using my Airmax 4-12x40AO I have it set at either 10x or above 99% of the time. Clear glass at the highest power, there is no blurring around the edges. I can't tell any difference in eye relief at all. Now since the AMX reticle is so thin and is not illuminated on the regular Airmax finding the crosshairs in low light conditions against a dark background can be difficult
The best and the worst part of the Airmax scopes is the reticle. The reticle is super fine and excellent for ranging. The image in low light is better than most airgun scopes the issue is the reticle can be hard to find in busy, dimly lit backgrounds. Think looking into branches in a dark forest. With use you kind of train your eye where it is and you'll locate it better. Initially it can be difficult to find and with practice it won't be as difficult but it's still not ideal. I switched one of my guns to a Hawke Vantage with illuminated reticle. Even without illumination that reticle was easier to find in dim busy backgrounds. I was spoiled by the better glass on the Airmax and switched back. I'd rather have clear bright glass with a marginally visible reticle than a clear visible reticle and a marginal image

A break barrel HW?I personally don’t like scopes with big heads (40mm AO is kinda bulky for me), as I prefer 32mm.Check out the Hawke 2-7x32 AO mildot with glass-etched reticle ‘cuz it is illuminated. They are about $145 or about $40 more expensive than the the wire mildot non-illuminated version of the same specs. The glass-etched model has a thinner reticle and is more durable than its wire counterpart.
Hawke mildot scopes with glass-etched illuminated reticles:Vantage 3-9x40 AO = model 14225Vantage 2-7x32 AO = model 14211No, I don't have Vortex scopes, only red dots. The Vortex Diamondback models used to be made in the Philippines and were of much better quality. They are now made in China like the Crossfire models.
when i bought my HW100BP-K from AOA, i received a free Weihrauch 3-9x40-P scope. i thought okay, i'll use it until i buy something better. i was very pleasantly surprised. the bell turns smooth for parallax adjustment and so does the eye piece. the lens is very clear and bright and i really liked the reticle for hunting. it performed great with my Tactacam and videos are crisp and bright. would i buy one for $246.73? (AOA's asking price) probably not, it's more of a $150 scope.
