So as I'm planning the stiffening hacks for my humble 3018 (yes, I know the results will be still limited but it is a hobby), I came across this.
He must have an extrusion sponsor, but it looks like a fun build. Probably could use a few shear plates in places. I guess, once it is running you could start machining some metal replacements for the plastic in key parts.

Wow! Wildly, vastly beyond my capabilities and patience. Fantastic piece of work - and it works. I would trade my LMS 5500 in an instant.
