Lizzie, do you have a flowing stream on your property?
Duggan's Irish Cream is just as good or better than Bailey's and it's half the price. It's not the only generic I like though, I don't like more than a little Fireball, but I can drink Catch Fire half the night.
We used to have a recipe for home made Irish Cream as well. But it had raw eggs in it and had to be kept in the fridge, I never really trusted it "aged" so we kinda let that one go away.

Costco's is pretty cheap too but it is better than Baily's IMHO!Quote from: Eddie_E on January 28, 2021, 06:37:12 PMDuggan's Irish Cream is just as good or better than Bailey's and it's half the price. Not the other-worldly spirits, but the world of drinking spirits. Haha ....Anyway, in the world of vodka and rum, what are your recommendations for good products which are medium to low priced?I don't mind buying expensive products if they will be used for mixing a cocktail or for shots or sipping, but I just can't see putting an expensive bottle of rum or vodka in a liqueur product.
Our Aldi's dont carry any alcohol, the other brother that owns Trader Joe's though, does. Grey Goose makes Costco Vodka right now, that will likely change as do most of their manufactures but I do like it a lot. We also have their Madagascar Vanilla Beans, SWMBO just dropped them in a bottle of Everclear today to make vanilla for baking. There is nothing better in the world!!!

You have to experiment with different brands to see what your taste buds like. I frequently buy some cheaper bottles on a whim and have found a couple that I like way better than more pricey brands. I refuse to buy really expensive stuff because it doesn't last long enough to justify.
A couple mixes I like. White rum with a chocolate snow cone. Dark rum with this mango juice below.
Whodathunk it?I never would have....thanks!
