Diana did make a beech stock model 75s.
Hard to read but I did have this bookmarked.

Thanks Fang, except for the rear sight, thats a spot-on match
Read one of your earlier posts about working with beech. I'm all for working with a pretty piece of wood but this one IS the 'Ugly-Stick'. I'm toying with the idea of Hydro-dipping it.
We shall see....

Many great paterns of nice words and more in the hydro dipping.
Read what you can but it is not as easy as it looks. Took me several distressed to get it right. But if done core etc makes for a nice look.
As I have posted on the JYAG's site just The other Day:
I use the 3m 1080 heavy mill vinyl grafics wrap. Old @&^*)^$%^ turned me on to this stuff years ago.
Back to the story. When I dipped the FLEX I dipped a leatherwood scope to match the flame pattern. That scope developed issues non related to the dipping.
I dipped some 1080 and wrapped a brand new Hawke airmax.
I.did some scope swapping. I was able to with a hair dryer remove all that dipped wrap. No cracking if the finish or pulling of the print on over laps.
I Re use the entire old wrap on another Leatherwood M1200 scope. That dip stuck to the wrap solid. After reinstall I heated the new used wrap and you can not tell the difference in new vs old.
Your base coat is the key to the hydro dipping and your final clear coat.
Go for it. I have seen guns dipped in a wood grain patern and they look real if done correct.
You can make that beech look good. But the issue is removing all the old finish. Really hard being the first coat of the factory finish leaches deep in the wood.
All is not lost sir!!💀

Yup, I've been looking at a few pro dippers. Was laughing to myself at the faux wood patterns. Would be cool to have a nice burl wood finished stock
but I'm prolly going to do a Kryptek pattern. I plan on sprucing this girl up nice 👍

This is the pattern/color scheme I'm planning to get the stock dipped in- "Kryptek Raid". I know the traditionalists will probably hate it, but the wood on this is so ugly it just wasn't worth the effort. Once done I plan on adding black grip-tape to the underside of the for end & the pistol grip to protect the high wear areas. Will also ad a thin black cheek pad to the riser. Once she's been re-blued/built she's gonna be a knockout

I looked at this print after a failure of a red snake skin.
It is nice. Again there are transparent areas that you can enhance with your base coat.
The rolling method might be the best on the dip. Jmo
Hey its your gun so do what you want. If you do not like it it can be redone.
Here is my base coat change from white on the FLEX to OD GREEN on my 30-06. Big difference.

Just got the stock back. Pattern wasn't as sharp as the sample I posted earlier but still came out pretty good. Quick pic before I head to work, more to follow....

Not bad at all. What was the base coat color? Also was this angle dipped or rolled?

No idea. I had it done by a pro. I will say whatever base color they used, they didn't bother prepping on the internal areas of the stock. There was a lot of untouched wood that I had to finish before installing the action.
