If your reading this, Hopefully you have interest in what FIELD TARGET is ??? .... And if you are feeling outgoing enough to give yourself the day to find out, HERE IS THAT CHANCE.

So COME OUT & JOIN US ....
Well the 2019 Sacramento Valley Field Target Season is about 4 weeks away with the opening match scheduled for Saturday March 23rd at the Ione range. A match announcement will be sent out prior to the match.
A few weeks ago you received an email from Scott asking about interest in a Field Target workshop, well the limited response we received gave us little to work with as far as how to conduct the workshop so we have decided to make it a day of knowledge transfer for those seeking such and practice/fun day for the rest of you. So here is what we are planning.
When: Saturday March 9th 10:00am weather permitting, Sunday March 10th if we are rained out on Saturday.
Where: Cameron and Jessica's Ranch, 3840 Point Pleasant Rd, Elk Grove, CA 95757
** This is NOT our typical match location, see clubs link for that information ;)
What: Fun day of FT practice. Workshops for Hunter Class Tips, Piston Shooter Techniques, and perhaps a WFTF PCP Tips group. We will have a large number of targets available so you can practice knocking down the real thing. Come on out and get your rifle set up for the coming season and have some fun.
This is open to anyone who might have an interest in Field Target, so if you have friends that you think might enjoy it please bring them along.
We will provide beverages and snacks for the day.

Please count me in. I've always wanted to do WFTF. I've been airgunning maybe for about 3 years now but my caregiving duties with my mom have prevented joining any events. Now that she
s moved on, it's time to do it. Have an HW97k tuned to 12fpe. Been practicing as much as possible.

We are always happy to have new shooters come down to join us! I'm partial to the HW97K myself and shoot it in the WFTF class.
If you're at squaw, you might see a slight raise in power coming down to the lower elevation. Although my 97 shoots pretty consistent from sea level to the high 5,000's.
I hope to see many new faces come out and knock down some targets, learn or share some new information and maybe want to pursue shooting at some local matches.

Address directions simple as looking up GOGGLE MAPS and filling in the To / From boxes ... that will get you to his property easy peezy.

I figured since it's a workshop and people may want to establish their numbers and if it's windy this may help a little bit. Unless you don't want them, I can mow em down!

No actually a great idea .... after all, those in the know pay attention to such environmental freebees of wind information.
Please leave em ... heck for training a few wind flags may be a good idea as well. ( Training only of course )

SATURDAY IT IS .... anytime past 10:00 .... targets are ready, paper too ... got a few rulers to wack the hands of unruly students, we're good to go !! LOL

Much thanks to Scott, the Kerndts and everyone who helps setting up this workshop! I will be bringing my 1/3 of a rifle and learn how to shoot WFTF. It will be a steep curve, but a welcome challenge.
I got my Leshiy dialed to 11 FPE, made a knee rest for it (you guys will laugh), and got the Leupold 6.5-20x40 scope calibrated. My yoga meditation cushion is arriving today, so I will be all set up tomorrow!
I will probably bring my own trap to collect my own lead.

Just back from the spring FT tuneup orientation program at Cameron & Jessica’s ranch.
Jim & Scott put on a great program and Cameron and Jessica were great hosts.
Had a chance to do some good checking of the scopes with the TX200 & Marauder.
Also the 1720T.
We avoided the rain dancing around the Sacramento Delta.
After the training and orientation we had an impromptu FT match with targets still in the field.
Riz, just back from Puerto Rico put on quite a shooting display.
I think this type of program is good for those clubs that do not shoot through the winter.

Great turnout ... winter fever relief !!
60 degrees, mild too modest winds with some difficulty in all the targets presented.
22 folks came out today with some in need / want of some guidance.
