So I guess they must have given me Shingrix. I just can't get into those kinds of details. Good thing my wife does. As far as I know Shingrix is the only shingles vaccine currently in use in U.S. replacing Zostavax (as of November 18, 2020).To answer Matt's question, as per CDC, "In adults 50 years and older who have healthy immune systems, Shingrix is more than 90% effective at preventing shingles and PHN. Immunity stays strong for at least the first 7 years after vaccination." PHN stands for Postherpetic Neuralgia - long term nerve pain.My doctor said both vaccines are still available to use and that if a doctor is not up on it or has a good reason he may use the less effective one. That was 1 year and 10 months ago.

I'm not saying "listen to me", ask your doctor first.
So, what's it been? 2 weeks now? Seems longer than that.Nausea, weakness, dizzieness, aches and pains are the experience everyday.Sleep only comes for hour or 2 at a time. And just when I think I may be gaining ground, the nausea and weakness comes back in.I can't help but wonder if that bout of covid that Betty Lou and I had a month or so ago has weakened our immunity some.I've done ton of reading and research on this and some says it's ok to drain the blisters after a couple weeks and some say not too. Those blisters on the palm of my hand are purple and obviously fill with blood. They have pressure in them and are really annoying because of where they are... the palm of my right hand.So I decided I would bust the one at the big joint pad on my middle finger and see what happens. It was an instant relief. Puss and blood came out of the needle hole I poked in it. I'll keep it drained and see what happens before I bust the rest.. or not.

I sure hope and pray you get to feeling better, Bill. No fun in retirement if you can’t enjoy it much.
He meant lancing it...
