Nice rifles, I really want another Weirauch or Beeman. My finger is ever closer to ordering a hw50s, but there does seem to be a lot of love for the Hw95/Beeman R9.

If you don't have to carry it far and you shoot from a blind and or bench go for the Hw95.The 95 is a much larger rifle that's a full 1.5 pounds heavier when both rifles are scoped. It's 7.5 vs 9 pounds. 9 pounds is a lot of rifle to carry any considerable distance. I own a 177 Hw50 a 177 Hw95 and a 20 cal R9. The 177 Hw50 is my carry around woods squirrel gun. The 50 is smaller and lighter. This makes it more agile, point quicker and shoulder better than the Hw95 in the field for me. Many others have found the same thing. The Hw95s other than the recent influx of newer guns with barrel droop/lock up issues are great guns. Mine are excellent guns but a grab the 50 anytime I go for a walk with an airgun. Bottom line is if you're gonna carry it around get the 50.

I'd do. 22 but the listed Velocity is 574fps. On paper, it's not legal for small game hunting in NY.
