I would leave it as it is until you re-assemble and test it. The longer screws extend into the area of the throat where the HP air is flowing past the large tapered end of the poppet. Hopefully they are not restricting it. I don't know if there is room to remove the screws and install wider screws? You could cut a narrow strip of 220 or finer grit sandpaper and "shoe shine" polish the area where the drill contacted the poppet stem, but I don't think it's necessary. Do not sand/polish anything on the tapered section. That is where the poppet seals against the white delrin ring/seat. Good luck, hope it's working properly.
In that case I would remove the long screws and install the shorter grub screws. If you can't find them locally, (Lowes, Home Depot, or Ace Hardware), order from Amazon. Yeah, it's going to be a pain removing the JBWeld and longer screws. I don't know if you could possibly drill/mill them to size from the end of the valve. I don't know if heat would have any affect on JBWeld or not, might try a google search. Good luck.[/quoteThank you.. Even if i could remove the JB Weld,, the heads of the Screws are to wallowed out.. i could not get them out with high quality allen wrench..as for the 1/8'' screws ..we have a huge ace hardware near me.. even they did not have the 1/8'' screws.. found a few online but 2 weeks out..I guess i will try to drill them out i guessBe Well All
How to remove JB Weld with heat. If the grub screws still won't come out with an Allan wrench. Either use a left hand drill after heating the JB Weld, or a small broken bolt remover bolt remover. I don't know how good of equipment you have to try and drill it out. Also you could try slotting the grub screws with a Dremel cut off blade and use a flat blade screwdriver. Drilling them out would be my absolute last option. To easy to damage the valve body.
Good AfternoonI have backed my dumb ^&* in a corner again..I did the stock mod on my wood AT 44..looks good.. Even matched the keyhole in the stock with touch up pen..That's the good news.. Bad news is.. I wanted to start from scratch on the hammer adjust..I figured I could screw it in until it stopped and then back it off (ccw) to have a starting point for the tune..It just keeps screwing in.. I stopped for fear of messing it way up..So when I return the side lever it fires without the trigger.. Please tell me I didn't go past some point of no return.. and I need to tear the action apart a do something I don't know how to do..Any suggestionsThanksBe Well All

That is likely why it is just spinning with no change. I think you may be able to get the adjuster back into its threads with some luck turning CCW? I had to open up one AT44 completely to really understand what I was doing wrong during my adjustments. The first time taking one apart was risky as several fasteners were "loctited" and VERY difficult to break loose. I got lucky and did not permanently damage anything or lose any parts. Proceed SLOWLY, keep all the parts well organized, take lots of photos, and PLEASE use properly fitted tools for each fastener. The Hatsan steel is relatively soft and can easily be damaged/destroyed by using loose fitted drivers.https://hatsanairgunsusa.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/AT44-10_Exploded_View-June2013.pdf
Glad you got it figured out. The last time I was doing any chrono work on the BT-65 I just set it up and angled the shot down into the ground about 3' in front of the tripod, in the back yard. You don't get the benefit of test accuracy, but it did read the velocity. I'm on 1/4 acre in a subdivision, you might be in a condo down town.Looks like we might be in for a ride with Ian. Be safe.
