Hatsan barrels can be made to shoot very well with a bit of elbow grease.Polish out any roughnessActually.. A barrel polish and crown is on the list.. As well as the Huma.. Might get brave and polish some other moving parts..This project is just trying to turn an old sidelined friend into a more modern piece..Thanks againGet the largest plenum they offer.I used a 25cal plenum in my 22 cal…but even so it was only 18ccWorked well for tuning around 30fpe.

Didn't Huma offer additional add-on plenums for the Hatsans at one time?I know they did for the Evanix as I have the parts to increase my plenum. The Huma I put in my .22 AT44 I also did the .25 version. Pretty much was disappointed in that.

Seeing that the BT series sports a LOT of "motor" i reasoned as such that just as well. Yes. It DID help, loads. Run 300 bar system pressure since.Upping power even more i grew real tired of the rings on the transfer port. So i set them pieces on the mill and enlarged the holes to 10mm flat. Enough of split o-ring already, and i have yet to replace one since. More meat did the trick in short.Ditto for the transfer into the actual barrel. Solved that by simply moving the o-ring grooves outwards. This then a Lothar Walter barrel option BT in 25 cal. Since main fudder for it is ZAN 41 grain pills, and these stumble out the snot locker of it at approx 1050fps.
Honestly, my first thought was “why is he hitting the valve stem so hard?” Think Bob (rstern) did a lot of ...ground work with the AT44 when they first came out….or at least he seemed to. Not sure how much work with the 65….and from there the Nathan seems to multiply like rabbits. Our tastes/needs in a PCP varied. Owned 2 AT44’s, one BT65, and one Hatsan/Webely Raider (with it being enough different to keep it out of this conversion)...some how skipped the GalatianNot counting wood/plastic stocks, seems like they make something like 17-18 PCP rifles.Only one left in my care is an .177 AT44 “Pneuma” (singe shot version). Like most of us, the old toys get neglected and put away so we can work on the new toys.Got the old Pneuma out for the first time in a year (or two), looked it over, still holding air and still functioning.Took the cylinder apart. Tube still clean/ rust/corrosion free. Scrubed it, then gave it a lite internal waxing of Silicon grease. Replaced O-rings. Valve stem seal visually OK. Valve stem one of the “skinny” (.100”) ones.“Trick” with the .177 was in slowing it down. Really was was too fast (IMHO) for an all around .177, wanted to calm it down to about 20 foot pounds.

I had the Elite with the thumb hole stock..But cocking that monster.. was not fun..The Galatian is a HUGE step up..She looks good.. And has a better side lever then my AT-44 long (but ATg44 cocks good) more accurate the the AT-44 at 50 yards on out..Just a shout out to Huma Air (regulator)They shipped 2 days ago from the Netherlands.. it arrived today..(Florida) That's better then Amazon.. Considering it went to Germany also in its travels..I was going to order the reg from AOA.. But got the reg.. And a seal kit and a fill probe with the foster fitting for about AOA's price for just the reg..I know I would not have received it from them in days..2Be Well All
My .25 BT65 as it currently sits. It's easier to carry in a bullpup config, but still too danged hard to cock. I need to finish this project, hopefully with a side cocking lever mod also.

I was at this point 5 years ago when I put the project down. (As it looks in the pic). I originally thought about putting a cocking lever at the rear. But that really isn't very ergonimical either, so now I'm going to move the cocking lever to just above the trigger assembly. The rod in the picture is actually attached to the trigger. I'll start another thread when I figure everything out and post some pics.
