Boker still makes one, I always liked the trappers myself. Some of those older knives were really good knives. Classic slip joints seem to be harder to get, USA made anyhow.Jason

Classic slip joints seem to be harder to get, USA made anyhow.JasonCase still has a great 54 pattern trapper, and some more premium options like their Panama trapper then theres GEC and Utica still makes a trapper too.Bear & sons does as well but their QC is all over the place.Not many large folding hunters made in the USA anymore if at all I don't think, bluegrass cutlery might make one for Moore maker but that's probably it.In general for traditional pocket knives mass produced in the US there's basically just Case Buck GEC B&S utica and Bluegrass cutlery.Utica only has a few models left and Bucks only traditional slipjoints left are 2 300 series stockman I think 303 and 301.Lots of custom/ semi custom low production and of course sheath knives.
A few years back, I picked up a Buck Trapper (wood handles) from Walmart. Wasn't a full size one, but anyway, when I got home and opened the box, I discovered it was "Made-in-China". Gave it away.

Gave it away.Yeah those are considered decent for the money, but I won't buy any of their imported knives.They are committed to having over 75% and rising of their knives made in post falls Idaho, and as it is they just have some fillet knives and some cheap Walmart knives made in china.The are hands down my favorite company in the knife business, I have knives from Case I like more but just the company itself is top notch.My favorite model is the sadly out of production 305 lancer.I'm still looking to check the chairman series, the 1989 elk stag, the grey diamondwood, and the yellow delrin off my list of 305's.Probably the 305 clipper too which replaces the little coping blade with scissors.
It seems knives and lights are inseparable I am big fan of 2x3A penlights 'cuz it's easier to hold them compared to the singles.
