I have a set of T-handle hex keys and getting that hex bolt loosened was a bear. I thought my key might bend before breaking the bolt loose.
Jim,I know, you know I have had issues with my TX200 with the cocking arm dropping by itself. The problem with the stiff cocking arm is the one cocking arm has become bent a bit. That is putting too much pressure on the detention ball. The AA Owners Forum has addressed this already.
Frank,I remember you having issues with the shroud creeping forward and reducing the engagement of the ball bearing, and I had the same issue with the foresight of my 1985 HW77 doing the same.Jim,Air Arms fit a cocking aid to the TX200HC (part TX238) which might offer a low cost (£17.89 here in the UK) solution if your Air Arms dealer stocks spares, though if the cocking lever is bent, removing and straightening it is the cheapest and best fix.
