CASA ASR FT Container Is! Now the Work Party!

ALL SO CAL AIRGUNNERS SHOULD HELP BUFF OUT THE HOME RANGE! We now have a Container to store all our stuff
California Airgun Shooters Association annual Work Party (8AM-1PM) and 2nd CASA 2012 1/4ly Club Meeting @ Ranchside Cafe at 2PM Sunday July 29th(210 @ Osborne Exit NE side)
I'll be @ ASR (Angeles Shooting Ranges) around 7:30AM. If you would like to volunteer for any of the efforts please give me a call @ 310-327-3581. On the day the phone won't work as reception @ ASR isn't. Remember to bring a Hat and Eyewear as those are required at all times on the CASA ASR FT Range. A few extra shirts and Trousers/shorts would be wise as is Bug Repelant and SPF 30 Plus. LOTS OF WATER TOO!
Linzie will do the Asset Etching so we can have all the CASA Property Logged and Etched with Property Numbers.
Bill Tramel is bringing the riding mower and a Power Generator so we will be able to plug in. If we could get a crew to mow and remove the range rocks that would be great.
Picture James Brinkley with a Chain saw cutting down some selected trees to widen the range at the shooters end so we can get more shooters on the Practice line. He will also turn one of our Dead Trees into a Stump for the Range Sign Upgrade and Range walkway. He is bringing his tools and Generators as well.
Art Burciaga will coordinate the Asset List and will measure the Targets and ID same. The Targets will get ID numbers so we can trACK THEIR FAULTS.
Jose will be doing the construction of the Porch/Ramp and shelving in the container. Apparently in an earlier iteration James Brinkley was a Carpenter and still has his tools. We will do a Home Desperate Lumber run once we figure out what we need and how much cash we can muster. If anyone has any surplus lumber bring it if you think we can use it. Railroad ties, 4X6, 4X4 2X6, 2X8, 2X10, 2X12 and 2X4 can all be used. Hardware & Nails also.
Depending on how much help we have we could do some lane boxes and even cut some new lanes. We need to construct the second sign for the Range and Complete the first one I started. Once we have the structures in place and painted we can add the Graffix panels to that.
We need a crew to level the pathways and distribute Gravel in the Picnic area and the paths as well as the sighting range shooting positions. We have a Wheelbarrel in the container. We also have around 4 scoops of Pea gravel over behind the sightin line we can use anywhere we want.
We have three pop ups so if you have more it would be a good idea to bring them so we don't roast.
Shovels, hoes and rakes. bring them with gloves.
TIA for your help. Bring a Change of Clothes so you can be comfy at the Club Meeting after the work party is done. CASA Quarterly meeting will be at the Ranchside Cafe at 2PM(East side Osborne exit at the 210).
