Spotting Scope Tripod?

Hi everyone,
I'm going to be getting a Vortex 20-60x80 spotting scope soon and am looking to purchase a tripod for it. What would be you guy's recommendations? I'm leaning towards Vortex's High Country II, any of you have experience with it? I'm looking more in the $200 or less price range, but willing to spend slightly more if necessary. I will be primarily using it standing up (I'm 5'10") and in a sitting/kneeling position when deer hunting.
Thanks for the help!

Go to a camera store and check out what they have.
For > $200 you should be able to get a great tripod.

Check B&H Photo out of NYC. They have some decent deals right now. Try to get one with a video head, makes it much easier to move on the tripod. Is your eyepiece angled or straight?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. It will be an angled eyepiece.

I don't use a spotting scope. But if I did, I'd probably use a monopod, not a tripod.
Much faster to get the picture level, much faster to adjust the height, and you can get away with a much less expensive head.
With a tripod, unless you have lots of time, I'd recommend using a good ballhead so that you have full range of motion. With a video head, you'll still need to get the tripod level from left-to-right. Again, no problem as long as you have lots of time.

For an inexpensive tripod, the Primos Trigger Stick III looks very promising. It comes with a cheap ballhead, and the main feature is that you can adjust the height of all three legs at once, by squeezing the trigger. It's really pretty slick.
Maximum height is only 62" though, which strikes me as a bit marginal for someone 5'10" who wants to stand up. - Though probably fine with an angled eyepiece.
