How did you tune it to get there (hammer spring adjustment, port restrictor setting, etc)? What pelllet, what is the start PSI and PSI for the 50 shots, also min and max velocity? If you still have them, please post some shot strings.Using JSB .22 18.13gr.Out of the box, highest tranfer port setting, first factory string started with a respectable flat 24 shots just over 900 FPS and made it to 35 shots @ 2.3% ES.Clipped one wind off the spring and pulled 50 850FPS shots. That was it, done, least effort tune I have ever done. Troy has more tricks for power, but you'll have to work a bit.

John, that is probably the right decision for you and your gun uses. It is hard to pass on a good sale. For me, the best thing about the five year warrantee is that it will make sure parts are available 5 years after the model is discontinued. Given its crosman, probably longer. After the initial period where they will pay return shipping, it is mainly a security blanket for those that don’t want to do their own repairs. If you diy it, they will usually send you the parts if you explain and/or send pictures. To date, I have never seen them look for an excuse to cancel the warrantee. I hope you find another BF deal that better matches your needs.
I logged off and logged back on and now I can add it to the cart. But I already ordered the Akela .22. Now it wants $11 for shipping I thought Fridays was free shipping? There must be a minimum..
My .177 Akela arrived today! It had a full fill of 3000 psi and is shooting 10.3 grain AA Pellets at 1065 FPS. Two full magazine and it was still just above 2000 psi! Accuracy isn't that great, but the barrel hasn't been cleaned and it's only had 20 pellets through it. I suspect it will improve as it breaks in. I find it interesting how some arrived with no air in the cylinder, others were half full and this one had a full cylinder! I also noticed it didn't have the customary QC Target you get with other Crosman produced air rifles.
Mine came yesterday. Dads here, we adjusted the trigger and looked it over last night. High scope rings came too so we installed thst. Chrono will start in a few. Hope the knockouts come soon. Interested in the spring mod
