Xisco Compressor Update:My first post was incorrect, because after removing the 12v charging adapter unit from the compressor ... and plugging in separately, the whining noise is coming out of the charging unit - only . It sounds like the fan blade or spindle in rubbing or binding on something?I will take the outer shell off, run it and try to find the noise (source) and fix. It may turn out I need some parts or a new 12v adapter box?

This is the first incident I've had from the compressor unit; for whats it's worth - The compressor is very nice .
If I'm not mistaken, the noise was from a loose fan, not a failing fan.
Yeah, I'm sure they had to go low end in some parts to keep the cost down.
I've got a plasma tv that I picked out of a road side junk pile about 12 years ago, the main switch mode supply in that had a big FET that evidently blew from storm damage, I replaced it with a more heavy duty one and that plasma is still working beautifully. I'll be watching the latest episode of Yellowstone in a little while with it. It's a 720P display but still it looks much better than all the LCD displays in my opinion.
