The Akela did make it by the end of the day. Double boxed and no damage. About 2800psi in tube. I hope to do a little testing through the holiday week.

The 30 cal barrel isn't done yet.Building/modding, things can pile up. When I finish the AR version, no, will have 6.
I wish I could own one but Shrouds are illegal here in Rhode Island :-(

According to the Akela schematic, it has seven baffles, just like the Mrod. If you remove the end cap and baffles, but leave the shroud on, is that legal in RI? I think NJ has the same shroud exclusion, but might be just for hunting?
Let me expand on that a bit.....There are many airguns out there including break barrels with sound dampening built in the from the manufacturer. Are you saying you cannot buy a break barrel gun such as the Gamo Silent Cat in NJ?Something just don't sound right there.
If crosman is shipping to you, probably is legal there. I haven't seen comments about RI, but have on NJ. NYS has some similar verbiage, but pellet guns are not considered firearms under penal law. The DEC does classify them as firearms under particular hunting regulations. I think it is worth more investigation.
