The syn stock version is 1lb lighter than the wood you have. The newer Turkish walnut version is around 1/2lb lighter than your wood. You can buy just the syn stock from crosman for around $50.
I wish Crosman would update the marauder with a sidelever and make it compatible with the GEN 2's for retrofitting.

I also wish they still sold them with the Green Mountain barrels or give you that option. My gen1 Mrod .25 w/GM barrel shoots same hole at 25yds, and they all touch at 35yds. My friend's gen2 Mrod .25 w/Crosman barrel gets about 2/3" - 3/4" CTC at 25yds with the most accurate (JSB) pellets, and the same with my cousin's .22 Mrod gen2 synrod, avg. 3/4"+ at 25yds. Maybe theirs is not how the Crosman barrelled ones are supposed to shoot?? But that has stopped me from getting a .22 Mrod when they go on sale.

OEM barrel. Regulated at 1850 and tuned to 29 fpe. The third group is from magazine number 7 on that 3000 fill.
