If you want 30 good shots the Marauder is fine.I prefer my Avenger ($350) which has 100 good shots at 20 FPE and my Nova Liberty ($220-$240) which has 140 good shots at 20 FPE.Yes, the Nova Liberty has 140 good shots at 19 to 22 FPE from 4350 PSI down to 1200 PSI (where my regulator is set).
6.4 ibs compared to 9.55 lbs is a huge factor to me.Not arguing that the Synrod don't win hands gown in other areas for other folks.Just sayin', for me, I prefer my Avenger.... and yes, I've owned the Synrod. I also stuck a bunch of money into it to get it where I wanted it including that pricey JSAR light weight tube and the mds TSS HS.Ain't done nothing to the Avenger except pull it out of the box and adjust the reg and hs.

Really well tuned.

The Marauder could easily be brought up to date and be a real contender. All they really need to do is change the air cylinder to something lighter that will take a 4500psi fill, change the breech to a side lever action and add a regulator! Oh, and price it at $399 or below! Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
