Travis personally converted the first batch from grease to oil. I bought one of the Amazon version at an auction. It works GREAT!!! Very quiet and cool. It comes from the design, it has a gear reduction from motor to crankshaft. This also makes it slow. It takes about 3.5 minutes to fill my Synrod from 1500 to 3000 psi. That is finw with me, I'm not racing anyone. My YH takes one minute to do the same, but is VERY LOUD!If I could get the Amazon version really cheap, then I would probably jump on that too. I'm thinking that I might pay a bit more for the version Wes sells since he can help with support and parts. That's one thing none of the other compressors offer. The YH sounds like a great option, but my situation won't support that. When I have a workshop with power, a YH compressor will be one of the first things going in. Is the "Vevor" branded version the same thing? It is advertised as having a 350 watt motor and capable of filling 200-300 bar in five minutes.Avator(Bill) has a Vevor and it has given him pretty good service. YH is considered the best by most folks, but the Vevor would be a close second. Personally, I would not buy any but these two in a water cooled. I use about half of a 5 gallon bucket with no ice or additives and in ambient temps of 90, I have never had any problems filling my guns. I bought the QX CS-3 because I got it at less than half price. It is WELL WORTH full price.Sorry, I meant the Vevor CS-3 clone linked in one of the earlier comments. If it is as reliable as the other "Vevor" branded stuff it should be acceptable.I would imagine.

It takes a while for me to get stuff from him, but he does always come through. How long does it take your Amazon CS-3 to fill a 500cc tank from empty? Or whatever you have, I just picked a large-ish tank. My little Orcair seemed a little slower than what other users on here report. It took 10+ minutes to fill my Challenger tank from 200-250b. I'm definitely getting something that turns itself off when full, but faster would be nice. I don't mind using my tractor to power the compressor, it's good to put some hours on it, and I just kept the fans running while I shot and the little Orcair was ready to go when it was time to refill.
let us know how the vevor works out for you.......
What "brand" 12v dry compressor is the most reliable/longest lasting?
As much as I really wanted to order from Wes, the $200 price difference was too much to ignore, and the Vevor (CS3 type) has been shipped as of this morning. FedEx seems to think they can get it here by Saturday, but I have my doubts.

All 12 volt dry compressors have very short life spans for the price. They are junk and should be avoided.
