Hi Everyone,
About a year ago I got Gamo Wildcat Wisper 0.177. and I put ! 2,000 + shots through it.
Gamo Wildcat just got a problem with loosing power, I have rad some topics over here about breech and NP piston seals. I didn't open the rifle yet - may you experts will point me to the right direction - I definitely lost the cocking effort.
Is it the whole Gas piston got bad? Please point me to the right direction.
Thanks, Victor.

Well, I had one new Gamo the igt ram went bad. Lucky it was a 5 year warranty model and Gamo took care of it no charge to me
But I did read if the ram fails it's pretty quick so 2000 shots it's possible. .
I don't know any way there is to home tested outside bad chrony results or like mine just a dead thud and watch the pellet hit the ground 20 feet in front of me...lol..
If Gamo don't fix it under warranty and want to charge you repair fee you have to consider the fee cost vs, the gun cost new. Or look overseas for a new ram that e.u powered not full USA power.
Thing is today Gamo is not user fix it friendly.
And it's a send it in only thing.
You could check with these guys here and see what ram they have that's a direct replacement part on you gun model if your sure it will he ram gone bad only
I quick looked bit don't see your model listed bit it going to white or black then I guess match the numbers of the offered rams?

Seems storage or nonuse can cause one to go bad as well.
One thing I found may be best if s when you put the gas ram gun up is store it with the barrel pointing down. There's a little splash of oil/lube in the ram and doing that keep the oil/ lube on the piston rod seal . I would think it would help keep the seal from drying or cracking and help prevent it from leaking out .
Anyway I make sure when I put it up it's pointing muzzle down.
Did you try to call Gamo to see what they'll do for you?

Thanks Deeco, I already ordered for 50 bucks, waiting time about a month, meantime will finish to fix my Swiss Arms TG1, will get the trigger pack today. BTW, I saw also replacement ram for metal trigger, looks like it will fit my Swiss Arms, maybe I will replace the spring as well.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Or look overseas for a new ram that e.u powered not full USA power.
Gamo Wildcat IGT produces a nominal 24 J at full power, like most adult-sized Gamos do (around 21 J in reality). Gamo is Spanish. In Spain, the free-for-all muzzle energy limit is 24 J. So, "E.U. power" in this case is as full as any store-bought Wildcat in the US.

Well?
AIRGUNS POWER LIMITS. In the UK, power limits are set to a legal maximum for an unlicensed air rifle, i.e. 12 ft·lbf (16 J).
See what ifsend you that ram?
Just read the specs of the ram your buying.
Them i guess any working new ram is better then one thats bad.

The UK is not in the EU, please get your facts straight. There is no "EU powered vs. US powered." If you buy a Gamo gasram OR mainspring that was made by the Spanish manufacturer Gamo for their gun, it puts out a nominal 24 J, which is the exact same KE as the gasrams or mainsprings sold in the US put out. There are also "FAC" mainsprings that, too, are readily available in the EU, even from Spanish airgun retailers, to anyone, no FACs needed.

I would suggest the following.
1. Perform the tissue test to see if your breech seal is leaking. A breech seal that has failed will impact velocity. This is an easy test and will give you piece of mind.
2. Disassemble the rifle and examine the piston seal. It would be a good idea to replace it. Air Rifle Headquarters Tesla seals are great.
3. Clean, hone, and lube the chamber. Plenty of write ups on here on that.
If the above does not improve the performance then look at replacing the ram. Custom Air Seals sells a replacement.
I have a Gamo Bone Collector .22 and noticed the standard deviation was poor. The cocking effort was much lighter than normal. A piston seal replacement and clean, hone and lube remedied the poor performance.
