Just bought one today before they sold out again. Purchased a small air/oil separator and some YH replacement filter inserts as well. Looking forward to not pumping anymore than necessary. My beat up rotator cuff will be thanking me!
No magic, just unloading the compression from the piston before shutting the pump down. Same procedure for all small compressors, takes the strain off the crank, rod, and wrist pin.
I'd bet that these cx2 are set up with sealed bearings on the crank to rod and on the large reduction gear. Do the cx2 call for greasing the low side piston pin at 50 hrs run time?
Ok guys, what's the latest on these compressors that are oil-less ?Mike @ FDAR just refunded my money from a failed oil converted model.Right out of the box it failed after installing the oil and testing !!So I want to try the cx2 grease version since it will be used for secondary fill purposes. How many hours run time do yall have on yours? Thanks!
Several times. No help.
If these were originally designed for the oil bath, why isn't there an easy way to see the oil level? Mine is blowing a small amount of oil every time I fill above 3000 psi. It's not much, but it tells me there is some consumption. If there is only 1.5 ounces of oil in it, that's not much of a reserve! It needs a sight window like the YH models so you can see if it needs oil added to it.Xisico also needs to update their documentation. Since not everyone who purchases one is necessarily on one of the air gun forums, or even partakes in social media, they won't have a clue about the video! Basic stuff like the proper type of oil, amount of oil needed, where to add the oil and maintenance intervals need to be included in the documentation supplied with the compressor. If I weren't a member here, and had not seen the video, I would have just assumed it was good to go out of the box and would have just started using it without adding any oil. After all, there was nothing to even show where to add the oil, and it came with the syringe full of grease, which the documentation explains. It seems to me they jumped the gun on these and have opened the door to failures due to the lack of accurate documentation.
Unfortunately, FDAR is no longer selling them either... Once again it appears the consumer has become the beta tester! I just hope Xisico does stand behind them is there are any issues in the future...
I ordered one today; tendonitis is preventing me from pumping over 200 BAR on my Leshiy and that's simply not enough for my Crow Magnum needs.Talk to me in a couple weeks and I'll share my experience
