I know on my Trail NP AW there's an aluminum cone, and I heard on some other models the cone is plastic, don't know which one though.

Do you got your manual to see if it shows the ELS part # ?Well actually it's a Canadian model, #BT5M22SNP, and it's not listed on Crosman site. However there's a part # for the cone on the model BT9M22CNP, which is about the same but with a camo stock, the part # is BT9M22-01-2, they call it a ''sleeve link''. Don't know if it's aluminum or plastic though.
As long as the shroud is not over tightened, the plastic cones seem to work okay. An alloy one would be the bomb for sure, yet the stock ones seem to hold up okay.
ELS-009 is aluminum and about 3/16" smaller diameter than the plastic NP214-009.
