The female threaded fitting looks like a sports-ball needle adapter?? Why they would expect someone to use a 300 bar pump to inflate a 1 bar football is a mystery to me.The test-plug fitting has that tiny pin protrusion. It could be for cleaning out the small ports on a fill probe??I'm betting it is just sloppy machining and they didn't finish facing-off that plug end to a proper FLAT surface. May be one reason why the pumps were half the normal price??

dfordead head and a quick connect to 1/8 NPT or BSPP for a fill probe (or maybe you COULD connect to a bike pump?? BSPP does not stand for Bike, Soccer, Pump Part.
I'll try again
Here is a photo of the two little brass fittings, I think the one with the little pin on it might be for plugging up the hose but what is the little pin on it for?

What oil ?What about just regular MINERAL OIL-drug store stuff-nothing added-seals tolerate petroleum oil-or do they require some super duper silicone based oil?Any change teflon take on threads would help? Seals are "not good enough" perhaps a little back up-tape-would help?I have made progress- 950 psi peak vs 400 psi-so guessing I will get it to work-eventually-for $21 I expect to "work"-if I had paid $49-would expect to tinker alsoNow if I had paid $150-$300 I would be perturbed-but not surprised- 4500 PSI lotta pressure for mass produced -CHEAP- pumps-Oh-that darned "needle" stabbed me-finally filed it off
