Interesting new modular moderator coming out.  Screw together, but plastic.  In some sizes they offer a metal screw insert.  I have no commercial interest nor am I affiliated in any way.  Interesting notch features, presumably to help tighten the assembly.  https://buck-rail.com/product/modular-suppressor/

Do the thread below look "shallow", as if they have a 90 degree included angle, rather than 60?  That would make them easier to print smoothly, and should work well, if the threads are coarse enough.  Perhaps I should try it

I've printed 32 TPI 60 degree threads in PETG without much issue.  But my trick on assembly is to use silicone oil on the threads.  Then it screws right on.  Used the threaded end caps on my PP700SA moderator.  I will test it on my GK1.  I guess it could blow up, but I really don't think it will.  Probably wear a face shield for that test...

Only thing I see is there is a lot of volume taken up by the construction.  On the other hand, if you need more quiet, I guess you screw on another section.  First one in the sequence is 7.5mm, the rest are 8.0mm hole diameter.  I'd guess this design (like all mods) could suffer from clipping as it gets longer.  Kind of hard to maintain angular integrity as it gets longer.  Gravity doesn't help either.

Still pretty neat.  The notches in the pieces, as well as the exit port can allow tightening or loosening with an appropriate tool.

 I do the same thing and I heat the plastic gently to about 140-180f with a lighter before engaging the threads.  This also helps to get a good tight fit.
