it can be lightened up to compare to the single stage x53 rifle's trigger. they did sale the 880with the diopetr sights and a taller front sight... dont remember the model number, but is was cool... it was listed in an old ad with the avanti and the old 499... lovely guns...
Never did the trigger mod to a 2100 but did on my 880's. It isn't too bad but you have to be on your toes.https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=118906.0
Take out the flat spring, before you do any mods to the sear. You may just like it enough to stop there.
The barrel was tight in my $10 Model 880, & I didn't need to use the " tape mod." I could still go into the trigger & make it a tad better , but, " WHY." Cannot make a $200 rifle out of a $40 one. OR a $10, one.
That trigger will be a bit stiffer to pull with the gun under pressure.
The results on mine is with factory sights. No scope.
