Without a link to the actual compressor you are referencing it's hard to say without know exact specs or price. The GX Compressors are getting really great reviews and they currently have a 25% off offer if you sign up for their news letter.https://gxpumpofficial.com/collections/frontpageThey have a full range from small to large and their prices are pretty good. I have a new GX CS4 that is due to be delivered today. As far as I know, it's the only compressor under $1000 that will fill to 400 BAR! It is water cooled, but it's also self contained, so no water bucket. Their smaller compressors all fill to 300 BAR, which will fill your Averngers with no problem. Just be aware, some of the smaller compressor are not suitable for filling tanks. I did find a nifty little one way valve made by Best Fittings that allows me to use my small portable compressor to fill my tank, it just takes a number of filling/cooling cycles to do so.
Those one way valves that Paul brought up are amazing, I had made one before finding out the Britts had one already, so I ordered one. It’s good for filling pony bottles not guns it’ll probably get air locked on a gun. The CS2 is great , it’s simple, it’s small, light , parts are available and customer service is responsive. I have several compressors yet I ordered the CS2 as a vehicle compressor. I think if you bleed off the air several times during the fill it should get rid of most if the moisture.

An extended warranty can be bought for the YH for $35. If the CS2 is a better compressor though, then that’s the way I should go. Thanks.(Ultimately I will just be topping off my 1/2 hour firefighter tanks from maybe 3500 to 4500.)
