Just stumbled across this thread, nice too see others enjoying the Diamondback! I've had mine about a year now, been great for pesting. Found my stock screws lose after some use as well.Definitely a solid shooter.
I really fancy airguns with a thumbhole stock or pistol grip...The Diamondback looks appealing to me from that perspective. I just have to overcome my second thoughts on the Crosman trigger ?

I just have to overcome my second thoughts on the Crosman trigger ?Hi Rudy. The Crosman Clean Break trigger on my Diamondback isn't a great trigger but it is defiantly much better than the trigger that I had on a 2014 Crosman Vantage. It won't be anywhere near as good as the triggers on high end German rifles but for a budget rifle is is OK.The more I shoot the Diamondback, the better it gets. The Clean Break trigger on my Crosman Summit Ranger is really nice and actually has 2 stages. There are various mods that can be done to a Crosman Clean Break trigger.I haven't felt a trigger mod was necessary on my Diamondback.I did the longer screw mod on the Vantage that I used to own.Best Wishes - Tom

Hardly anyone complains about the trigger, which is good I guess.I really start to wonder if I need one LOL, there is still some space left in my cabinet for a .22 cal airgun if the Diamondback is that good as the reviews are telling me, then for the cost it is a steal.
I just ordered the Diamondback in .22, figured this would be a little easier on my shoulder versus the other magnum break barrels I was looking at.Thanks for the reviews.
The diamondback arrived today. Its too early yet to give my opinion on accuracy but I do have it hitting paper.First impressions I love the grip and looks. The trigger has a lot of travel before it fires and I'll try adjusting that later. The gun does recoil for sure but part of that may be because I'm used to shooting my pcp guns. Crossman could have put a softer recoil pad on the stock though, its pretty hard.I'm not getting no where close to the advertised 29 fpe, I'm a little over 21 fpe shooting crossman premier hollow points but that may change with more break in shooting. I tried some JSB 15.89 gr pellets too but the fpe stayed pretty much the same. The barrel was clean to my surprise. As mentioned before you do need to paint the front sight. The sights are easy to adjust so that's a plus.
Congrats on your new rifle Tom!! Bet your close to dead center when you finally get a chance to put up paper targets again with it.
Tom when all that snow melts, you may want to make one of them fancy target deals that reel the target out and back in.

Thank's buddy. How is your Diamondback shooting ?I backed out the trigger adjustment screw on mine a couple of turns. From the factory, it was turned all the way in.It makes for a slightly longer trigger pull but the trigger force lightened up some.Best Wishes - Tom
