Just wanted to share something I'm really excited about: I bought a Carbide 3D Nomad 3! It's a desktop CNC with an enclosure, will happily mill 7075 aluminium. Picking it up this Saturday I made an aluminium replacement for the injection molded magazine that came with my FX Impact on my school's big-boy CNC a few months ago, so might make a few more of those now that I have my own!
im guessing you can rig some flood coolant to the nomad ? i dont think theyre electronics on the lower end ?>
That looks nice! You got some skills there.
that looks good , i guess the machine is more rigid than i anticipated. What are you using for probing ?
none that im aware of, most that ive found start at 1/2 inch shank .. so I had to switch to er20 on my homebrew machine . What the cnc world needs to develop is a spindle mounted camera that locates the work by the features in the cam model. When im 80 im sure technology like that will be common.

Hardly a recipe for success.
